artist's statement
As an undergraduate a fascination with cinema led me from painting
to work in video. My work currently investigates landscape and
architecture as body. The absence of body looks for itself, suggests
trauma. As Northern/Ireland continues to struggle with the legacy of
colonialism we need healing spaces. Places where we can heal from
trauma and colonisation. I am interested in the power of video
as a way to unearth such places.
